Sheppardův tým na planetě najde průchod, který chrání bariéra. Když se Sheppard rozhodne prostrčit ruku bariérou, je vcucnut a pohlcen na území chráněné bariérou. Při bližším průzkumu Rodney zjistí, že čas za průchodem plyne mnohonásobně rychleji. Sheppard nechce zůstat na místě, kam se dostal, a vydává se dál.
