Sheppardův tým je při průzkumu napaden místními lidmi. Jediný, komu se podaří utéct je Rodney, ale ostatní takové štěstí neměli a Sheppard, Teyla a Ronon jsou zajati. Ronon pozná vůdce kmene, který je zajal. Ronon Sheppardovi a Teyle vysvětlí, že kdysi tu byl, ale tehdy měl v sobě zabudovaný wraithský lokátor, který sem Wraithy zavedl.
