Na další planetě je Sheppardův tým vlákán do pasti a následně se všem podaří uniknout kromě Shepparda, kterého Kolyovi muži zajali. Kolya se spojí s Atlantidou a chce vydat Shepparda výměnou za Ladona, který vede odbojovou skupinu Genijů. A aby Kolya přesvědčil Atlantidu, že to myslí vážně, přivede k Sheppardovi Wraitha a řekne Atlantidě, že mají 3 hodiny na rozmyšlenou, jinak Wraith vysaje z Johna život. Následně jsou Wraith a John odvedeni do cel. John se s Wraithem za účelem útěku spřátelí a spolu se snaží přijít na to, jak se odsud dostat.(Varan)
