Zpátky do Newhaven Velkolepé plány se vracejí na obrazovku v podobě speciálního jubilejního seriálu, který moderuje nenapodobitelný Kevin McCloud. První část připomene divákům nejpozoruhodnější a nejsledovanější výpravy za architekturou z uplynulých 25 let, mezi nimi nejstrašlivěji překročené rozpočty, nejambicióznější projekty a nejkatastrofálnější časové skluzy. Ostatní epizody se soustředí na odvážné a inspirující návrhy a osobní cíle stavitelů. Od zbourání domu, ve kterém majitel prožil dětství, a jeho přestavby na idylické centrum zdraví a wellness, až po rekonstrukci nejobávanější vodárenské věže, která kdy byla postavena. V rámci nostalgicky pojaté návštěvy se vracíme k první řadě Velkolepých plánů z roku 1999 a Kevin zjistí, zdali se Tim a Jules ještě pořád cítí svobodně jako ptáci ve svém domově s dřevěnou konstrukcí, který stojí ve skalách nad Newhavenem.
