Moderátor televizního pořadu na ochranu spotřebitelů je zavražděn a podezření padá na jednoho z jeho „klientů“, jehož produkty před časem pomlouval.Jessica se v Denveru účastní natáčení místního televizního recenzního programu. Moderátor, Kenneth Chambers, uvádí oblíbený pořad americké televizní stanice, který se soustředí na spotřebitelskou advokacii a s potěšením odhaluje nefunkční či vadné produkty. Chambers se ovšem chová jako arogantní primadona a tím si kolem sebe vytváří mnoho nepřátel. Není proto velkým překvapením, když ho v kanceláři naleznou zavražděného. Prvním podezřelým se naneštěstí stává Steve Honig, manžel Jessičiny dobré kamarádky, Jane Honigové. A když pak policie nalezne vražednou zbraň ve Steveově autě, nezbývá než ho také zavřít. Avšak Jessica o jeho vině zdaleka přesvědčena není.(Radek273)
